Manager Service Operations – BC

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a strong leader, with big picture strategic thinking to manage the Service Operations for BC.   Our client is a leader in their field with the highest quality products and service in the industry. This person will be responsible for ensuring that the company is the preferred service provider with customers while managing all elements of the service department including customers and staff.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor Service Department revenue and expenses to ensure financial targets are achieved
  • Ensure OEM and companies KPIs are monitored and maintained
  • Ensure PM program integrity in terms of completion, documentation and quality
  • Ensure Work-in-Progress (WIP) is kept within required targets
  • Ensure Warranties are submitted on time and records are in order
  • Responsible for all aspects of employee management including hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary action, and dismissals
  • Play a proactive role in companies Health and Safety Program including working with Health and Safety Manager to reduce injuries, claims, and lost time
  • Ensure service department training programs and standard operating procedures are followed
  • Facilitate a positive environment between service office staff, Field Service Managers, and technicians
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure workloads are met
  • Understand customer needs and identify potentials and shortfalls
  • Facilitate a positive relationship with other departments and work to close gaps
  • Oversee new equipment warranty issues and communicate with OEM and customer
  • Work with Field Service Managers to maintain field and customer awareness
  • Other special assignments as deemed necessary by VP Aftermarket Operations

QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Customer service focus
  • Excellent supervisory skills
  • Good communication skills (includes written and verbal)
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Products (including but not limited to Outlook, Word and Excel)

Education/Experience  

  • Lift truck application knowledge / or service experience as asset
  • Working skills with MS programs, Access and business operating systems
  • 3-5 years previous experience in a supervisory capacity

Additional Qualifications

Provide and maintain a valid clean Class 5 Driver’s Abstract,
