Overview:

Our client, an international mining organization based in Vancouver, is seeking a proactive and dynamic Mining Engineer to take on a wide range of technical & engineering support functions for their open-pit mining operation in Western Canada.

An attractive salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, commensurate with qualifications, skills, capabilities and experience.

Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity to be an instrumental part of a dedicated team of mining professionals and take on diverse responsibilities including short-term planning, mine design, scheduling and operational functions. As part of the operational and engineering team, the Mining Engineer will provide effective direction and technical advice to operations for planning and scheduling in all aspects of production and development. Main areas of responsibilities will include implementing, maintaining and recommending process improvements and undertaking project work.

Compensation:

100,000k +

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be a qualified Mining Engineer with the following profile:

• At least 5 years experience in a production environment

• Solid technical knowledge in short-term planning in an open-pit mining operation

• Proficiency in mine planning software

• Exceptional people-management skills, problem-solving abilities, strong decision-making

ability and a tenacity to accomplish operational and business goals
