Sales Representative

Edmonds Batteries Ltd. is a long standing, well known company and recently the recipient of the Mid-sized Business award for 2017 City and Township of Langley.

We are a privately held, well established Lower Mainland company that values relationships; whether with our employees, our customers or our suppliers. We are growing and in need of an Outside Sales Representative to support our growing customer base and further expand our opportunities in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.  The successful candidate will be responsible for sales calls on new and existing customers, creating and following through on leads, and identifying new opportunities.  If you have prior experience in outside sales and a desire to grow with us we want to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain ethical, cooperative relationships consistent with company image and company goals in the marketplace
  • Maintaining a professional attitude and appearance of both yourself and your vehicle
  • Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory/department
  • Plan and carry out sales activities to agreed sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales; organizing activities and runs in the most efficient and profitable order possible
  • Generate sales leads
  • Make cold calls on prospects
  • Maintain and service existing customers
  • Collaborate with management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s marketing presence
  • Achieve goals and targets as set out by Sales Manager
  • Actively participating in and contributing to sales meetings
  • Attend any trade shows, company functions or company related events as necessary
  • Maintaining a clean driving record
  • Be able to repeatedly lift items up to 60lbs according to WCB regulations and or guidelines in a safe and efficient manner
  • Communicate effectively within the companies (text, email, phone, etc)
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by email, telephone, and personal visits
  • Develop and improve personal skills and capability through on-going training

  Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years outside sales experience
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of Excel, Word and CRM
  • Experience with POS systems an asset
  • Self-motivated, driven and comfortable working with little to no direction
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations
  • Strong customer service skills
  • A valid driver’s license and proven safe driving record
